Abin John Varghese, known as Aby Kalamthara, is an engineering graduate with an M.Tech in Energy Science and Technology and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Bioenergy at the School of Energy Materials, Mahatma Gandhi University. He has over 11 years of professional experience across India and abroad, along with a Master Diploma in Project Planning and Management. His research focus has led to the development of a patented technology for producing bioenergy from tender coconut husk. Abin serves as the Project Manager of the Business Innovation and Incubation Centre at Mahatma Gandhi University, supporting entrepreneurial initiatives and sustainable innovation. He is also a subject expert committee member of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) at Alphonsa College, Pala. He is married to Dr. Christy Maria and is the father of three daughters. He hails from St. Antony’s Church, Tharakanattukunnu, Chenappady, under the Eparchy of Kanjirapally.
